With early 20th century legends boasting Italian and French origin, the Negroni - at least 100 years old in its current iteration - has never gone out of fashion. Celebrated for its balanced and bold flavour, this classic drink is composed of equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth, creating a harmony of bitterness and sweet. Served best with a large block of ice, either a cube or ball, and finished with an orange peel twisted to reveal the fragrant oils, the Negroni is an all-round favourite popular amongst all circles, and a cost effective addition to your cocktail menu.

Ingredients
30ml gin of your choice
30ml sweet vermouth
30ml Campari
1 ice block
Orange peel for garnish

Method
In a mixing glass, pour in the gin, vermouth
and Campari over ice.
Strain using a Hawthorn strainer into a double old fashioned glass, and add 1 large ice sphere/block.
Garnish with a peel of orange skin, twisted to release the oils and aroma - rim the glass before garnishing for some extra oomph.

Enjoy!
