1. Preheat & Prep – Preheat your oven to 200°C. Pat the steak dry, season generously with salt and pepper, and let it come to room temperature.
2. Sear on Stovetop – Heat a stainless steel fry pan over high heat with a splash of high-smoke-point oil. Sear the steak for 2 minutes per side, developing a golden crust. 3. Add Butter & Aromatics (Optional) – Add butter, garlic, and herbs like rosemary or thyme. Baste the steak for extra flavor. 4. Finish in Oven – Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and cook for 4-6 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 52-54°C. 5. Rest & Serve – Remove from the pan and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to retain juices. Enjoy your perfectly cooked medium-rare steak!
