Old Fashioned Cocktail Recipe

Serves: 1
Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

• 60ml Bourbon or Rye Whisky
• 1 sugar cube (or 10ml simple syrup)
• 2–3 dashes Angostura bitters
• Ice cubes
• Orange peel
• Optional: Luxardo cherry for garnish

Method

1. Place the sugar cube into the glass and add the bitters.
2. Muddle until dissolved, or add the simple syrup if preferred.
3. Fill the glass with large ice cubes.
4. Pour over the whisky and stir gently until chilled.
5. Express the oils from an orange peel over the drink and garnish with the peel. Add a Luxardo cherry if desired.
6. Serve immediately.
